BC Girl Guide Provincial Volunteer Opportunities
Calling on all Guiders and Youth Members to help shape the direction and leadership of Guiding in BC! Do you have untapped cookie skills that you could share with BC? Do you enjoy supporting our many trainers across BC who help deliver essential and impactful trainings? Do you have fabulous program ideas that you can't wait to promote across BC? Are you savvy with communications and wish to help with branding in BC? Now is your chance to join one of our exciting BC Committees, or to take on a BC Council role!
We’re looking for people with passion, experience, and commitment from diverse communities, who want to help grow Guiding and be a catalyst for a better world, by girls.

Apply to the BC Youth Forum
The BC Youth Forum:
- Engages youth members to get feedback on their needs/wants
- Plans/supports youth-driven programming and initiatives
- Provides input into BC Council’s planning and decision-making
What’s in it for you?
- Explore leadership at a higher level.
- Learn to design bigger projects and events
- Build a stronger Guiding network of enthusiastic youth and adults
- Gain insight into how decisions are made for Guiding in BC
- Help shape the direction of Guiding – Have your voice heard!
Time commitment
At minimum, applicants agree to be available for two meetings per month:
- One virtual Youth Forum meeting. (Note: in October we will meet in person in Metro Vancouver with travel expenses covered by BC Council)
- One virtual Committee or project-team meeting
This role will also involve project work and participation in special events. Time for these will vary according to each member’s specific project involvement. This is a one-year position, with the option to extend for a second year based on your age, participation and performance.
How to apply
Fill out the BC Youth Forum application form between June 1 and July 2, 2025. Applicants will be contacted in early July, at which time interviews will be scheduled as needed.
