Before you chose your activity:

• Do your research using reputable sources and websites
• Talk to an organization that does work around the activity you have in mind; are they someone who is knowledgeable on the subject

Here is an example of an authentic experience vs a non-authentic experience:

• Authentic experience: Exploring the Indian culture by going to or inviting in a Henna artist to your meeting
• Non-authentic experience: Purchasing henna supplies from a local store and having your unit do the henna themselves

To avoid confusion, we would like you to tell us about your activity before you move forward with the application for funding. Once you receive approval, we will send you a simple form to complete and return at the completion of your activity so that we can reimburse your unit.
