Book a Site at Kingswood Camp

Kingswood Camp is set in a beautiful wilderness setting close to hiking trails, a recreation centre and a lake for swimming or canoeing. Kingswood Camp is north of Victoria on the Saanich Peninsula. It is ideal for many different outdoor activities for all ages. A wide variety of wildflowers bloom from mid-March until the end of June. Both indoor and tenting accommodations are available, enabling larger groups such as Districts to camp at one facility yet house all levels from Sparks to Rangers. Marked hiking trails are available.

Parking

Limited parking is available at each site for Guiders. Parents are asked to park on Linnet Lane and walk campers into their site.

Reflection Area

Our reflection area is in a mossy glade behind the Freeman King Site. A small A-Frame shelter with surrounding benches gives everyone a quiet place for reflections. Please advise other campers if you wish a private time with your girls at the A frame.

Booking terms and conditions

Payments and cancellations

SVI Area Properties rely on rental revenue to maintain the properties. Cancellations that do not allow sufficient time for the property to be rented to another group, results in a loss of irreplaceable income - this policy applies to ALL bookings.

If the booking is cancelled more than 30 days before their booked date, they can receive a full refund of the deposit or can transfer to a new date.

If the booking is cancelled less than 30 days before their booked date, the deposit will not be refunded. If the group would like to rebook for another date, a new deposit will be charged.

If Property management cancels due to extenuating circumstances (i.e. power outage), a full refund of the deposit will be issued.

Conditions

The deposit amount will be withdrawn from your unit banking account on the 1st Friday after your booking is confirmed. Immediately after camp, Guiders will be send a link to a Feedback form where they can confirm their final numbers. Failure to submit the Feedback form will result in an automatic charge to the Unit based on the total number of participants submitted on the initial booking and the subsidy will not be processed.

The final rental fee will be charged on the 1st Friday after your event date, along with the subsidy, minus any deposit paid. Deposits may be withheld as instructed by the camp manager if the property is left unsecured, uncleaned, or damaged.

Evening use bookings are not eligible for subsidy* and no deposit will be charged. However, payment in full for rental will be withdrawn the 1st Friday after your event date. Evening use rental fees cannot be refunded but can be transferred to a different date with the change is made more than 21 days before the booked date. Infractions for evening use rentals (building unsecure, unclean, etc.) will be levied a $50 fee after the rental.

*Please note that subsidies only apply to SVI units.
