Come join us for Provincial Camp 2025: Back to Trefoil Trails! We will be sleeping in tents for 4 nights, canoeing, river rafting, day trips, fun evening activities and so much more!
Where: Camp Emmanuel in Lewisporte
When: Wednesday, August 6 – Sunday, August 10, 2025
Who: We are looking for:
- Youth members who are registered as a Guide, Pathfinder, Trex, Ranger or Bridging Member in the 2024-2025 Guiding year.
- Adult Guiders (leaders).
Cost:
- The cost to youth is $225 + HST per participant. Camp participants will receive a camp t-shirt, crest, lanyard and hat. Areas and Districts may be able to subsidize camp cost.
- There is no registration fee for adult Guiders to attend camp.

Event Description:
NL Girl Guide Council is sponsoring two patrols consisting of eight (8) youth members and two (2) Guiders for interprovincial camps in Quebec & Nova Scotia during the summer of 2026.
The event highlights are as follows:
Voilà Québec 2026
Where: Montreal, QC and Camp Peaceful Waters, Lac Bouchette, QC
When: July 23 – August 1, 2026
(Tentative Itinerary)
- July 23: Group travel from St. John’s to Montreal
- July 24: visit Montreal
- July 25 – August 1: Camp
- August 1: Group travel from Montreal to St. John’s
Who: We are looking for:
- Eight (8) youth members born in 2013 and earlier
- Two (2) adult Guiders
Cost to Youth: $1800 includes flights, program fees, meals, travel and medical insurance, accommodations and activities in Montreal prior to camp. This does not include personal spending money. To reduce the cost for participants, there is an expectation that youth will sell 10 cases of cookies between the fall 2025 and spring 2026 cookie campaigns. Some Districts and Areas may also provide subsidies to offset costs to youth’s families.
Discover Nova Scotia 2026
Where: Halifax, NS and Camp Kana’da, NS
When: July 10 – 18, 2026

- July 18: Group travel from Halifax to St. John’s
Who: We are looking for:
- Eight (8) youth members born in 2013 and earlier

To reduce the cost for participants, there is an expectation that youth will sell 10 cases of cookies between the fall 2025 and spring 2026 cookie campaigns. Some Districts and Areas may also provide subsidies to offset costs to youth’s families.
How to apply - girls and youth members
Only one application is required for both events. Applicants will be given an opportunity in their application to select which event they are applying for or if they are applying for both events.
Girls and Youth must complete the Travel Opportunities Youth application and provide two non-related references. One should be from within Guiding (i.e. Unit Guider), the other from outside Guiding (e.g. teacher, coach). Applicants should send their referees the link to the Travel Opportunities Youth Reference.
Members may apply for more than one provincially sponsored trip. Where members meet the requirements of the application, preference will be given to members who have not previously participated in a provincially sponsored trip.
Participation in this event is an independent travel experience. If you are applying with a friend, we cannot guarantee that you will both be accepted.
Guiders and all youth must be registered in Girl Guides of Canada in the 2025 -2026 Guiding year.
All youth and adult applications and references must be received by May 31, 2025.- The deadline has been extended to Sunday, June 15, 2025.
How to apply – adult members
Adults must complete the Travel Opportunities Adult application and provide two non-related references. One should be from within Guiding the other from outside Guiding. Applicants should send their referees the link to the Travel Opportunities Adult reference.
Qualifications:
- All Guiders must have experience supervising a group of adolescents, including overnight; this experience can be in Guiding or outside of Guiding
- Meet all physical requirements outlined on the event fact sheet
- Have current standard first aid (current to include the entire duration of the trip)
Guider Responsibilities:
The selected Guiders will be responsible for the youth under their care and fully participate in all program activities of Voilà Québec 2026 or Discover Nova Scotia 2026. The Guiders must provide oversight to all pre-trip planning, including Safe Guide forms, itinerary planning, and 2-3 virtual meetings of the travel group. The Guiders must also complete a post-trip survey to share experience with Girl Guides NL Council.
