PR / Communications

The provincial Public Relations (PR)/Communications Committee works to present and promote a positive image of Guiding in Newfoundland and Labrador, both within and outside the organization. They develop, implement, and monitor public relations strategies to increase organizational pride, public awareness of GGC’s membership benefits, and support GGC brand enhancement.

Social Media

NL Girl Guides uses social media sites to share information and promote the organization. Content can be submitted by emailing nl-prcomm@girlguides.ca or through direct message on Facebook or Instagram.

When submitting photographs for use by GGC, please ensure all members who are visible in images have an Image Release (IR.1) recorded in the iMIS database at the time of publication.

Logo Approval

Requests to use the Girl Guides of Canada logo or Trefoil on crests, clothing and other items must comply with GGC Brand Standards and must not be produced without the prior approval of the NL PR/Communications Adviser.

GGC's Brand Standards provide guidelines to ensure all GGC communications, merchandise and messages are consistent with our brand image.

Crest and merchandise approval requests should be sent to nl-prcomm@girlguides.ca with a copy to nl-memberservices@girlguides.ca.

Please submit a copy of the design as drafted by the manufacturer (a design proof). If you would like to submit a hand-drawn design for initial approval, the PR Committee can grant conditional approval and will ask that you submit the design proof before proceeding with production.
