Opportunities
Opportunities for young adult travel become available throughout the year. By submitting your application, you can apply to all qualifying experiences. On your application form, you can select whether you are interested only in certain opportunities, such as Juliette Low Seminar, or if you are open to any international opportunity that becomes available.
2020 Opportunities include the Juliette Low Seminar, Helen Storrow Seminar, Girl Guide Experience Forum in Malaysia, World Conference in Uganda, and various Member Organization (MO) events throughout the year.
A snapshot of the 2018 and 2019 opportunities:
- In 2018 and 2019, we sent young women on fully-funded trips to Beirut, for their Market of Ideas conference where we presented GGC’s Mighty Minds Challenge. Others were sent to Ethiopia and Mozambique to be a part of the WAGGGS Rapid Response Team, working to deliver program and Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting methodology training. We sent members to Japan, to engage in an International Youth Event and even Grenada to represent GGC at the Western Hemisphere Conference.
