Rangers
For young women ages 15 to 17+ The Ranger program is about choice and flexibility, while promoting leadership and community involvement. Rangers lets you enjoy Guiding by creating the experience you want - doing the activities you want in the way you want. Adult mentors will help you as you shape your own program and achieve your own goals.
As a Ranger, you will have the chance to:
- Help Brownies on a field trip
- Learn about budgeting for living away from home
- Have discussions about body image and the media
- Plan an overnight canoe trip
- Organize a community service project
- Volunteer as a junior leader with younger girls
- Apply for Girl Guides of Canada scholarships
- Participate in global development projects
- Develop real skills you can use in school or at work

Looking for extra adventure?
Extraordinary Options is a program choice for girls aged 12-17 who want to focus on just one aspect of Guiding. These units meet less frequently than regular units and tend to focus on large projects, trips or adventures. Currently, there are Extraordinary Options units that focus on sports, arts and outdoor activities, called Trex units. In Trex, girls learn important skills and make lifelong friends while pursuing exciting outdoor activities. The adventure-based program includes camping, canoeing and hiking.
