Welcome to Guides!

Fun activities for 9-11-year-olds

Guides is a place for exciting activities for 9-11-year-olds. She’ll have a blast exploring the world and her unique talents as she takes the lead in group activities and helps organize events and community service projects. New friends, new skills and new experiences are waiting for her in Guides.

Guides usually meet once per week for 90 minutes.

Guides can try new activities like..

  • Discovering their leadership style through active group games 
  • Planting trees or organizing a supply drive for a local shelter 
  • Imagining, designing and building new inventions
  • Planning a celebration event for younger girls
  • Learning tips and tricks to stay safe online
  • Camping under the stars – she can even earn an award for that

FAQs about Guides

My child turns nine in November.Can she still join Guides?

Age categories are based on the age a girl will be as of December 31 of the current Guiding year. If yourchild is currently eight but is turning nine by December 31, she can join Guides! If she turns nine in January, she can join Guiding partway through the year.
