Be a Guide Leader
You won't believe what we do in Guiding today! From advocacy, sports, camping and science to eco-activities, fashion design and community projects, Guiding has something for everyone and offers the widest range of activities of any volunteer experience for women in Canada.
When you volunteer with us, you become a Member of Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada (GGC). Joining Girl Guides of Canada is about more than just helping girls achieve greatness. It's also a chance to take advantage of all kinds of personal and professional development opportunities:
- Develop skills in areas such as leadership, event planning, advocacy, communications, team building, risk assessment, budgeting, public speaking and more.
- Access to mentoring and training programs.
- International trips and the chance to participate in development projects and discuss global issues such as HIV/AIDS or human rights.
- Belonging to the world's largest organization for girls and women, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
Give a little, gain a lot
No matter how much time you have to give, there's a place for you in Guiding. Whether you choose to work with girls in a unit or you just want to spend a few hours helping at an event, we offer lot of flexible ways to volunteer what will fit with your schedule.
